For teachers
Free lesson packs for Latin and history classes
Each pack is one ready lesson of 45 to 50 minutes, built around one of our anthems: an epic song in Latin that tells a story from Roman history, written from Livy, with the Latin and English lyrics on screen. Students hear Latin sung, learn vocabulary and grammar from it, and practise telling legend from history.
- LUPA (753 BC): the founding of Rome
Free Latin I lesson plan on Romulus, Remus and the she-wolf: song with Latin and English lyrics, vocabulary with English derivatives, grammar, comprehension questions with answer key, and a legend or evidence activity. Printable. - LIBERTAS (509 BC): the end of the kings
Free Latin and history lesson plan on Brutus, Lucretia and the birth of the Roman Republic: song with Latin and English lyrics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension questions with answer key, a legend or history activity and a civics discussion. Printable.

- A printable student sheet. Press "Print this pack" on any pack page.
Free to use
You are free to print, copy, adapt and share these packs for teaching. If you keep the credit line with our website and channel, we would be honoured. New packs follow as new anthems premiere, one a week.
The songs and videos are made with AI and directed by humans. The history is checked against the ancient sources, and every legend is labelled as a legend. Questions or a topic you would like? Write to [email protected].
